July in Reno is Artown!
Join this photo-a-day challenge during the month of July and share with your community how you perceive each word of the day. No explanation needed. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words! Just look at the dedicated word for the day, and as you go about your day, keep your eyes open for where you see that word in the local community around you. Snap it with your camera (perhaps on your digital device, like a phone or tablet) and share it with us! Tag us on instagram or Facebook with @renofirstumc and #reno150.
You don’t have to be a great photographer! This project is more about the practice of paying attention and being intentional rather than using the right filter or getting the perfect shot [though we totally encourage you to get creative!]. If you don’t have Instagram or Twitter, we’d still love for you to share your photos. You can print them and bring them to worship on Sunday mornings.
Need a daily reminder? We’ll share them every morning on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. We’ll post them up on our new blog as well, and you can ask us to email you a reminder with a link every morning, with reflections from writers in the congregation. Just send us an email at RFUMCoffice@gmail.com to let us know you’d like to subscribe, and we’ll make sure you are included on the mailing list.
Let’s start this journey together, sharing glimpses of our lives with one another. Let this be an intentional time, even for a few minutes a day, to pause, remember, be inspired, and reflect.
